G'day All,
There is a new version of ax25-utils out now. The package has been split
out into a few different packages; namely libax25, ax25-apps and ax25-tools.

You'll find them at ftp.hes.iki.fi:/pub/ham/linux/ax25

Please be warned that these are the first public release of these programs
and there have been many changes to the other libraries (such as libc)
and the kernel so you can expect some quirks with these new ones.

You must absolutely have libc6 (glibc2) and it works a lot better and
easier with a recent version of glibc2.1. For those Debian users there
are already debs for all the packages I assume my counterparts in other
distributions will have their packages out soon.

Compiling them from scratch is an option, though it is in some ways more
difficult to do so as you need things like libtool etc. By all means
give it a try if you like, and for people who compile things like gnome
it is no more difficult, but understand there is a bit more to it now.

I have now re-subscribed to linux-hams, so you can email me here or via
one of my email addresses. While it is currently a bit sad, I am working
on a web page for the packages that will have some information about them
(such as current status). The URL is http://www.eye-net.com.au/hamradio/
