Yes, that sounds possible.  I'm just having a look thru the lzhuf code
though and it prints an error message if it fails and I'm not seeing that.

After a session I have proXXXXXXXX files in
/usr/local/fbbforward/in/vk1bbs/ (vk1bbs is the local BBS).

BTW, does it handle multiple messages in a single broadcast when receiving
in broadcast mode?  LinFBB can produce U broadcasts with 4 or more message
lines and it doesn't seem to be handling them either.
