Here are some of the latest things that I have learned (so of it the
hard way) that may help others.

I am at a point where I now can hear the mountain top and decode the
input data stream. This is forwarded to the jnos console as-well-as the
ax25-utils MH listing. I had to do a couple of things to correct the
misunderstanding about the PackeTwin interface card and the DSY modem.

I had to change the NRZI to a 0 in the dmascc_cfg. Dale Heatherington
mention that the modem already does the NRZI conversion.

My DMA port is DMA = 3 This was due to my Sound Blaster using DMA 1 & 5

I found some mis-crimped connections on the PackeTwin ribbon cable that
is used for port A (factory defect). This was discovered while ringing
out the serial sync line from the PackeTwin ribbon cable to the modem
interface connector.

Now, if I can just get the mountain top to hear me. I have traced the
RS-422 TD +/- signals all the way to the 26SL32 chip on the modem and
every thing looks good. So close, but no cigar, yet, hi.

I am curious if anyone else is using 56k baud on the list. If so what
are the TXDelay, Slottime .... params that they are using ?

Regards to ALL,

John
