I think you'll be OK if you just recompile a new 2.2 kernel. But just to
be sure... read the README file in the kernel source tree about the
needed version numbers of certain packages.

You probably don't need them if you already have a working system
running with the 2.0.36 kernel.
But they might be handy for future installs :-)
Be carefull... If I remember correctly, the ax25utils package will
overwrite your existing files in /etc/ax25. I guess I should change that
:-)
