Kernel 2.2 & proc filesystem

I've installed a new kernel 2.2 , all ax25 stuff is well working but I don't
find /proc/sys/net/ax25/... entries in proc filesystem.
What is wrong ? Is it a compilation option problem ?
Kernel is 2.2.6 on Suse 6.0 distribution
