You are right, but there's another problem that I see here.
Well, actually, it is not much text and it is not much work to put in
into the HOWTO, but...
Maybe in the near future, one or more people are asking here for
solutions for such common problems like:
"I get a
kernel panic: Unable to mount root fs
message when starting my newly-built kernel. What do I have to
do?"
or
"When I want to run X, I always get only a black screen and
nothing happens"
or something similar.
The fact that also hams face problems common to Linux newbies
does IMHO not necessarily mean that they all should be included
in the AX.25 -HOWTO.

The writers of all the other HOWTOs and FAQs around Linux had
exactly the same thoughts, too - but as you see sometimes these
efforts seem worthless :(

And then, right, an all those other little problems, too, where good
documentation is already available.
I translated and enhanced the AX.25-HOWTO not to support this
awful laziness but to provide some hopefully useful information that
I did not find in this form before.
Nevertheless, I will rewrite that particular sentence so that it says
"If any problem not mentioned here occurs refer to the Kernel-
HOWTO since it has more comprehensive information on the topic."
(Yes, I am a bit lazy, too since I do not want to write another
Kernel-HOWTO inside the AX.25-HOWTO.)
Cheers, 73
