The goal is to to run linux fbb as I wish to replace my DOS fbb system.
I need to run with whatever fbb requires. At the moment it appears to
require a 2.0 kernel.
My main linux box runs RH6 with a 2.2.10 kernel. I am building a RH5.2
box just to run fbb. The kernel straight off the CD is 2.0.36 however I
get errors when running make from ax25-utils-2.1.42a. Make thinks I
don't have the kernel source tree, which is incorrect.

If the goal is to start your Linux box with a 2.0 kernel you should get
the last one which is the 2.0.38 at the moment.
Another solution is to recollect documentation on AX.25 with 2.2 kernels
as they seem to be quite stabilised now.

Good luck.
Alex.
