Eh? Why not? The same goes for the Baycom Ser12 modem, which works
under Linux at 1200baud (and reportedly even at 4800 baud), why
shouldn't the same hack work under Linux with a suitable
kernel driver?

It would even work under Windoze if someone would write a
VxD, I'm quite sure.
