Hello I am Lap (VR2YZE). I come from Hong Kong. I use redhat 6.0 I want to build the AX25 network on the linux. But I cannot success to build the ax25. Because I cannot config ax25 port on the linux. I can activated AX25 network on the kernel the command make menuconfig Amateur radio support (*) Amateur AX25 level 2 (*) Baycom ser12 halt duplex serial port driver (*) Baycom ser12 duplex serial port driver (*) baycom par 96 parallel port driver * build in I do the "make dep" and "make clean" and "make bzImage" after that, I add new kernel image in the /etc/lilo.conf . and run command "/sbin/lilo" at the end, I reboot the system I download AX25-utils-4.1.42.tar.gz in my system. I can created /etc/ax25, /proc/net/ax25 ...etc. But on the /proc/sys/net/ax25, that is empty. That have not /proc/sys/net/ax25/<portname>/ directory and the related file. that is the AX25 howto say. I cannot use command "sethdlc", I have no "hdlcdrv" and "baycom" module. I don't config the TNC port. On this situation, I have some problem, problem 1, do I really activate my ax25 network? problem 2, if I do not activate ax25 network, How to activate ax25 network? Problem 3, do I create /proc/sys/net/ax25/<portname>/ directory and the related file? problem 4, do I set all is build-in on the kernel all right? I wish your reply. I thanks your help.
