This is a medium-speed PCI SCC card with 4 channels I developed during
the
last months, based on the Siemens PEB-20534H (DSCC-4) ASIC. There are
only
a few prototypes available by now. However, hardware and linux driver
proved
rock stable by now.
The card has 4 HDLC ports with different clock modes and channel coding
(NRZ, NRZI,
MANCHESTER etc.) and DPLL (limited to max. 2Mbps) for clock recovery.
Each port
is completely independent of the others.
With the -10 Version of the controller each channel can do about 10 Mbps
(specified,
tested: at least 20 Mbps), the -52 Version works up to 52 Mbps on two of
the four
channels. The host interface works with busmaster-DMA (descriptor
orientated).
See the attached postscript document.
Parts are about 150 bucks (DM), board is around additional 100 bucks in
prototype
quantities.
