I have a USB to Serial/parallel 3port HUB that works great under windows
98. so it is possible to do what you want.. now for the linux.. There is
a web site I have seen floating around the linux community that deals
with USB stuff. How far it goes I don't know... that was next on my
project list. Let me do alittle diggin and see what I can come up with.
