ANNOUNCE: LinKT 0.6.2 released
                      ==============================

11/11/1999; The next release of LinKT, the packet radio terminal 
for the KDE is available. 
You can download it from http://1409.org/projects/linkt/download.html.

LinKT, written by Jochen Sarrazin DG6VJ, is an easy to use, 
full featured packet radio terminal using Linux' kernel ax25 services.
It offers the following features:

  - multiple split-screen terminals; the amount of concurrent qso 
    is not limited.
  - various file transfer protocols including plain text, 7plus, yapp
    and didadit.
  - message list window for reading/killing/copying messages at a 
    remote bbs.
  - password calculation for various systems.
  - online huffman compression.
  - sound support
  - monitoring tool, decodes various protocols, collects dx spots.
  - pingpong convers client.
  - English and German manual.
  - English, German, Czech, Italian, Dutch, Polish or Spanish 
    user interface.

Changes since the previous major release (0.6.1):

  - Message that a connection setup has failed.
  - Fixed scrolling if the QSO-buffer is full.
  - Fixed boxcheck.dat parsing: the first line of the bbs� message list
    now can be copied directly to the file.
  - The main window is activated whenever a window 
    is sent to the background using ESC
  - Switched from KNewPanner to QSplitter
  - Fiexd bug when displaying the transfer-status information at windows
    bottom. 
  - Only the sender uses the "SP\-"-prefix for AutoBIN-Chat.
  - ConvKT remembers the previuos used server
  - LinKT can generate "old-style" DieBox passwords
  - Fixed bug within the "reconnect"-handling
  - Fixed password checking
  - Fixed preferences dialog
  - Fixed direction and distance calculation in MonKT (thanks Stefan,
    [EMAIL PROTECTED])
  - MonKT: Switched from KNewPanner to QSplitter
  - ConvKT: Configuration dialog, most settings can be changed during
    program runtime.
  - ConvKT: The /msg window should work now
  - Messages when trying to disconnect without being connected
    and vice versa.

  
Requirements:
  - Qt 1.42 or higher.
  - The KDE base libraries, version 1.0 or higher.
  - The ax25-utilities. 
  - MonKT needs ax25spyd (http://1409.org/projects/ax25spyd.html)
