With Netrom and Thenet type networks you can connect to the alias of a node
with any ssid. As in to connect to the node TROY:N2TY-1 you can connect to
TROY-1, TROY-2, ..., and also N2TY-1.

With FlexNet, most nodes have a range of ssid's they support. Connect to the
node once, do a mycall to find out the range of ssid's, and then connect using
the the node callsign followed by any ssid in the range.
