In additional to itself, Sendmail must be explicitly told what domains
(hosts) it is supposed to handle mail for. I imagine your machine's own
hostname is something different than pe1icq.ampr.org. In your case,
sendmail thinks pe1icq.ampr.org is an external domain to which it is
supposed to relay mail. But DNS MX info says it is the most preferred mail
server, therfore it cannot resolve the conflict.
Implementations vary, but look and see if you have an /etc/sendmail.cw
file. If so, enter pe1icq.ampr.org in the file and restart sendmail. If
not, you'll have to look through /etc/sendmail.cf to find where to
identify alternate hosts for which that machine is designated to handle mail.
