During the past few weeks I tried to set up my Baycom device under Linux.
After solving the first beginners problems (compiling a new Kernel) I was
able to compile the libax25-0.0.7.tar.gz, ax25-apps-0.0.4-tar.gz and
ax25-tools-0.0.5.tar.gz .
I start my configuration, following the steps as described in the AX25-HOWTO.
So I try to configure a modem on /dev/ttyS1 (0x2f8, irq=3), with an
interface called bcsf1 on port 1k2, callsign ON1DOA-0
I do #ifconfig bcsf1 hw ax25 ON1DOA-0 up
Then I try #ax25d
He tells me:
axconfig: port 1k2 not active
ax25d: no AX.25 port data configured
I tried to make it work to symlink the axports and ax25d.conf files to /etc
, /usr/etc/ax25 , but I got no positive result. I know that there are a few
people with the same problem, but none of them knows the answer.
Is there someone who could give me a tip on how to fix this?
