I have instaled kernel 2.2.10 on my computer on a SlackWare 4.0
distribution. I tryed to configure the soundmodem but I faild.
I have an ess1868 sound card. I can do the initialisation and I can
load the module with insmod soundmodem . After this if I do a
cat /proc/net/dev I see sm0-3 devices created but when I try to do
sethdlc sm0 .... it sais to me that can not open sm0
I red that the sethdlc from the ultimate version of ax25-utils is
broken there for I ask you if u can tell me a valid version of this program
and maybe a valid version of kernel that you know that works.
For your information I tryed the ultimate version of agwpe on may
win95 system and it work perfectly. You'll have maybe problems until you set
the audio levels but after that all works fine.
