If this is so important for you I will do it the compatible way. I think
the time needed for this discussion can be used more sensible. I will
leave this socket-interface stuff to somebody else.
Sigh.

But what I would really like to nail down is that driver primitive thing.
I would like to know what the other driver developers think of my idea
posted in that other mail.
