I do monitor linux-hams, but that is what caused the confusion. It
misses the point of dev-hams to be discussing development issues here.
If backward compatability is lost as a result of the new patches there
is a great risk of a fork in development, the precedents don't weigh
heavily on the side of the non-backward-compatible fork.
