IIRC the TheFirmware KISS implementation does not promote the DCD MODEM
input to the V.24 port. Would need to dig up the source code to be sure,
though. The KISS EPROMs for the TheNetNode token ring seem to notify TNN
of DCD changes, but I don't know how this is implemented.
