I'm a ham operator that operates in the region of Montreal. I
recently got involved in setting up a IPIP gateway for the region, a
collaboration between two clubs VE2CEV and VE2ETS
The platform of choice was RedHat 6.0 using kernel 2.2.xx. After
looking at the HOWTO that only covers kernel 2.0.xxx, I stumble a bit,
trying to realise the project under kernel 2.2.xx. I finally found a
site that gave my the tools for ax25 for the proper version of the
kernel (2.2.xx)
The next part that was a problem, ROUTING....
As many of you probably know the routing is very different between
the versions of the kernel. We (other ham operator working on the
project) found the proper tools to make routing possible with tunneling
under kernel 2.2.xx.
I would gladly point to the tools that makes this possible and wold
gladly help you folks to make it happen for you also.
