I have been grocking all over trying to find information on the changes
to the IPIP encap / tunl0 routing with the new 2.2 kernel. I can't find
the information regarding the changes. The link I have to the search in
the Linux Hams archive is not working.

I hate to bring up an issue that I suspect has already been discussed
before. Could someone point me in the right direction? I made the
conversion to the 2.2 kernel and new ax25 packages pretty smooth.
Duplicating the IPIP encapsulated routing for the ampr.org routes is my
last hurdle in making the switch from the 2.0 kernel.

Using the old route parameters, gives me the following error:

i.e.:
/sbin/route add -net 44.0.0.0 gw 128.54.16.18 netmask 255.0.0.0 dev
tunl0

SIOCADDRT: Network is unreachable

Do I need to add static routes first for the gw address? Things have
obviously changed.
