Never. I tried couple of kernel compiles (though takes nearly 2 hrs :-))
and it compiles without error. And maybe you didn't notice, that I
replaced with two other set of hw (one 486DX2/66, similar to the original,
next a Pentium-I/133MHz) for a period of time, but they also gave the same
oopses.

I know (and have) memtest. Haven't actually tried on this hw, but
again you didn't notice what I wrote: I replaced the RAM modules in the
original mb, then came another mb with his own RAM modules, then the third
mb with yet another set of RAM modules.
And if it's not enough: HA5OB/Zoli has almost the same problem. That's
slightly different and I don't really want to mix them up, I think details
I supplied are just enough for someone involved in developing to start
with.
