I found a problem with the pop3d server, that was caused by lockfiles
existing in, as I recall, /var/tmp (or maybe /usr/tmp, which ought to be the
same). I had to do a ls -al to see them, I think, as the name began with a
period. So try looking for lockfiles that should be removed.
