Version 1.26 of LNXFORWARD is now available. Apart from the glibc/kernel 2.2
support, there are quite a few small bug fixes.

What is LNXFORWARD?
Lnxforward is a suite of programs that performs message forwarding to or from
FBB or compatible systems. Its features include:
a) Compressed forwarding
b) Message filtering, holding, and reviewing
c) The ability to act as a hub, forwarding to any number of BBS's
d) An interface to Hessu's mailgw system, allowing the use of smtp/nntp/pop3
mail and news readers such as Outlook, Eudora, Elm, Forte etc for messages and
bulletins.
e) Selection and control of message destinations
f) Automatic HTML conversion of messages - lets you use a browser such as IE
or Netscape for reading and posting both messages and bulletins.
g) Support for servers such as REQFIL and REQDIR
h) A single-user satellite interface, generating and processing satellite PFH
files for individual messages up/down from the satellite(s).
i) A single user mode, whereby a system that is NOT a BBS may connect and
download messages from another BBS. The downloaded messages may comprise
either the users own messages or a list heard from an unproto broadcast.
Messages
downloaded this way may be read, web-viewed, or forwarded just like any other
message.
j) Full bid checking
k) Scripting facility for connect strings
l) Runs natively - does not need to run FBB or xNOS system.
m) Uses standard kernel based AX-25 facilities, utilising AX25, Netrom, or
Rose connects

It is available for anonymous ftp from ftp://ictoan.apana.org.au, or (soon) at
