Hmm. A wild speculation: for some reason SM7GVF-5 thinks SM7HW-5 got
frame 4 okay and discarded that buffer but SM7HW-5 believes it never
acknowledged frame 4. Is SM7HW-5 using a KISS TNC w/o CRC extension
by any chance? Maybe a frame got coruppted, changing an REJ to an RR
or the sequence number... I've seen a lot of these problems with
DB0PRA-10 until I used a patched KISS driver (for Linux, not BPQ)
that implements CRC protection for KISS data.
When this happens again, can you send the
content of /proc/net/ax25 please? We need the complete state of
the connection to see what's going on.
