I've posted this message to both linux-hams and xfbb since the problems may
have been seen by readers of each list.
1. YAM - not working! The power LED is on, but the RX led shows no activity,
and it won't TX.
I have tried it using AGW to drive it under Windose98, and it works fine,
whether it be at 1200 or 9600bd.
The YAM is on ttyS3 at IRQ12, and appears to configure OK during my startup
script. But doesn't respond otherwise.
2. xfbb v7.01j daemon - won't work, exits with a segmentation violation
every time I try to connect to it with xfbbC, or if a user connects on a RF
port.
I have tried the rpm installation from the SUSE ftp site, because I couldn't
get the xfbb source to compile on my system for some reason.
The system is : Cyrix MII-233, 32Mb RAM, 2 x IDE HDD's, 1 x USCC, 1 x PC100,
4 serial ports,
Kernel is 2.2.13, Distro is Definite v7 (RedHat clone).
Any ideas anyone?
I'm going to try the YAM on another machine with no other apps running, and
on ttyS0 to see what it does.
I know the YAM should work, because so many people are using them.
