Hello Linux-hams.
I am new to this list so firstly "Hello." My name is Garrick and I've
been licensed as G7LFW for a number of years now although I have only
recently started operating after a long period of absence from the radio
scene. I am currently living in West London, UK.
I am currently using the 'soundmodem' driver (afsk1200) on a Toshiba
laptop and a AT-600D dual-band handie although I haven't found too many
people that can hear my 5W from a dual-band whip in the window. :( I
would like to try some 9k6 operation with modified PMR (rally next weekend
- woo-hoo!) and hopefully something similar to the modem mentioned in the
subject line. Has anyone on this list had any experiance of this modem
and Linux?
