Hello agn,

I would like to say thanks for all the kind help I received.
Too many responses in my email box to give individual
greetings here. Thanks also to the maintainers of this list.

First fault was to search for bc0. bcsf0 or bcsh0 was the clue.
I also missed to compile the kernel with the socket option selected.
There is always another doc in Linux. I should have
looked into baycom.txt in the Kernel/Documentation directory.

This is the difference between a plug and pray OS. It's
somewhat harder to setup everything, but finally you know how
to configure every bit of a device.

Now I am able to configure the port as described in various
postings. My bcsf0 is working, with the slight effect that
nothing is received nor the PTT is activated (while in DOSe it's
working). That is not a big deal I think, but my nearest digipeater was
reconfigured to 9k6 :-(. I think it's time to take the soldering-
iron at hand and to try the sound modem going towards 9k6 hi.

Thank you all again............

p.s. off-topic: anyone ever made a YAESU FT-4700RH 9k6'able ?
