ax25-config-0.1.4pre1 is available from:
ftp://1409.org/pub/ax25-config/ax25-config-0.1.4pre1.tar.gz.

ax25-config is a menu driven tool for configuration of ax25-tools
and apps.

This is an _alpha_ version, because there are many new features which
are not finished yet. I have implemented support for YAM and
Soundmodem, but since I do not use either of them, I cannot test it.
There is a menu item for SCC Cards but that does not work at all,
I think this should be done by a seperate program because scc-cards
are very different from the other devices.

Therefore I ask you kindly to test this beast, it installs the
configuration in /tmp/ax25 by default, so it should do no harm to your
existing configuration. Please test it, compare the generated
configuration to you working configuration and report any differences
to me, or better: try to fix the templates in the config-in directory.

For the other devices it should work given I did not break anything.
To use it for real, you have to enter the proper ax25-directory,
otherwise it will install into /tmp as mentioned before.

I have started TCP/IP, NET/ROM and NODE support too, but this is
completely unfinished. It would be great if somebody could step in
here, because I am very busy with other things currently and Mirko is
moving to Munich and therefore has no spare time, too.

It is really easy, the templates in config.in are just normal
configuration files like the ones in /etc/ax25 except there are
variables which will be replaced by the script. The script itself is a
bash-script, so no C knowledge is necessary here.

The only other method to further improve this thing is to motivate me
by sending bug/success reports :-).
