I belive Tomi has said before, you can ignore them, but for the record my
comments.
BTW; just about all of my ax25 stuff is modules.

I have serveral machines all running kernel ax25 netrom, drivers include
mkiss scc dxlmodem, i also get the obsolite message for;
netromd and mheardd, but not from kissparms, further more i cant say i have
seen your problem.
I have seen scc interfaces simply stop working including IP traffic, but
that was in 2.0.xx kernls, i must say i have no problem now.
A small comment, you said there is only one way to get the interface going
again, thats rebooting, now i would bet if you did ifconfig ax0 down, (if it
be ax0 causing problems) then up it again as per your start scripts all
would work again as it should, that was what i used to do, in fact i had
scripts running under cron to keep the system going.

0.0.5 here. considering kissparns is here, and i get no log messages about
SOCK_PACKET from kissparms,?? could this say something Tomi.?

I used kissparms for an expierment with a dxlmodem, that modem did not suit
my needs and has now been unattached via ifconfig however the system has
not been rebooted.
If the need arises for tests i could help.
The only problem is the dxlmodem together with an scc card really brings
the system in question to its knees.
A small except from /proc/interrupts.
0: 28649737 XT-PIC timer
1: 12875 XT-PIC keyboard
2: 0 XT-PIC cascade
4: 1366887519 XT-PIC dxlmodem
7: 4302265 XT-PIC AX.25 SC
That was taken, i belive after 24 hours of uptime.
136 million interupts wow.. (yes i did an RTFM on the dxl docs).
