Hello Everyone,

This is my first post to this mailing list, I've looking in the archives
but I didn't find one answer to my problem. I'm running a gateway in a
Linux box running SuSE 6.4, kernel 2.2.16, LinuxNode 0.3.0, Xfbb 7.02.

This box is in a private network (192.168.10.x) and has FreeBSD box as
default gateway running nat and filtering using ipfilter.

The ax25 is working great. Everybody connects to the node, bbs, but when
they try to make a telnet conection from the node, the conection is
stablished but when you type any command, you get a "Connection reset by
peer" message.

I have some convers alias in my node configuration, users connect to
remote convers, login but when they type something, same message.

The firewall allows any conection from the inside network to the internet
on tcp/udp and keep state of these conections. The firewall forwards
conections on a port # to the gateway box inside my network so amateur
radio can access my node from a telnet session.

Also the connection on port 6300 of the firewall is redirected to the
gateway box so I can make fbb forwards via telnet.

Maybe I'll need to open some ports on the firewall? What ports?
Maybe this kind of configuration doesn't work behind a firewall?

Any help will be welcome.

Alessandro, PU2VUC.
