Greetings all I'm after a 64180/Z180 assembler/linker that supports the overlay capabilities of the aforesaid micros. Preferably running under Linux native but dosemu or wine would also be OK. This is to support the expected decommissioning of several hundred X25 switch/PADs that I have written TNC software for over the last 5-6 years. The hardware itself dates back to the early 80s but has a 6.144MHz 64180, 256k RAM, 128k EPROM, 2xSCC, 2xPIO, 2xCTC, 4xDMA channels, IEEE488 bus between boards (up to 15 on the bus) and lots of other goodies. When this hardware becomes available I'd like to release the s/w I've done to the community and make the hardware itself available at cost. Currently the s/w supports 4 radio ports per board at up to 19k2 with a KISS port feed at up to 38k4. It uses Baycom and g4xyw modems for 1k2 & 9k6 radio ports and can multidrop external TNCs and SLIP links (using a pseudo ax25 header to make it kiss). Its also been used for 2k4 V26 modems and 19k2 g3ruh modems. Perhaps once others get a look at it it will be worth implementing 6pack and I may even finish the complete IP router I keep putting on the back burner :-)) Mostly I want to get away from the commercial development package I'm using at present but its the only one that I've found that can link several modules to one physical address to take advantage of the MMU in the 64180. Without this capability its an aweful lot of work to port the code. -- 73 de Robin.
