Hello,
for some days I bought me the Logitech Internet Keyboard. And it works fine
with my computer. But I have one question: Is there a driver for the Internet
Keys? So that I can also start my Netscape over this keys?

Let me clear this up a little. I am running Red Hat 6.0, with the
es1370
driver for sound.

To fix this, I tried and failed at the following
1: Booting with the linux no-hlt option
2: Trying different mp3 players
3: Double and tripple checking the sound settings
4: Using nice to change the priority of the sound applications
(esd, x11mp3, mpq123).
5: Looking for buffering options for the sound driver.
6: Tried setting and unsetting the X PCI-burst options
To fix this, I succeeded at the following.
1: Building my own 2.2.11 kernel. Why this fixed it, I do not
know.
I was running the default RH 6.0 kernel. The kernel I compiled had
the minimum options, with no modules.

One way might be to renice the process with such a high priority that no
other process will be able to take the CPU from it unless it is unable
to make use of more CPU power. You will have to be root to do this.

I am wanting to use my linux machine as an answering machine and fax answer.
I need a suggestion on what modem to get prefferably cheap that has good
voice support in linux... also some suggestions on software would be good.
I eventually want to be able to check my voice mail over the web if there is
anything out there to do that... or simplify it.

I'd go with WindowMaker if it works ok for you. But if you want something
faster that looks better than the twm, icewm, etc, then try xfce. It's very
light and fast but I find that WindowMaker has a good combination of speed
and features.

A Linux network server project on which I am currently working would
benefit from having a Raid 0 (disk mirroring) configuration. Rather
than use expensive SCSI hardware, I was thinking that it would be
great if I could configure one IDE drive as Master on the primary
controller and a second IDE drive as Master on the secondary
controller and then have a custom IDE device driver that would
perform the necessary "mirroring" functions.
Does such an IDE driver exist for Linux? I have seen third party
IDE controllers that perform disk mirroring -- has anyone used one
of these controllers with Linux?

Bullshit. Linux runs good with 16MB - what you mean are probably bloated

All you need for a /boot partiton is 10-15 Mb, say 2 cylinders.
Move the upper boundary of your Win 98 partition from cylinder
1031 down to 1021, and create a /boot partition on cylinders 1022
and 1023. Then just slide your 3.8 gig partition down to start
at cyl 1024. Partition Magic 4.0 will do this easily.
Kernels are around 500-700 Kb is size, so that the /boot partition
you create will hold quite a few different ones, and all are now
guaranteed to be entirely below the 1024 cylinder boundary (cylinder
numbers 0 through 1023).
