With my mobo the 75Mhz FSB is not guaranteed. I am able to run at 450
Mhz (75 x 6) but still have the same pbs

I'll try so use another DRAM module but I am not that optimistic... I
rather suspect timing problem within the board and I am affraid that I
will have to get a super 7 one...

What graphics card are you using. More importantly what is the chipset.
If you have your computer set up as a dual boot system with windows, try
going to "start->control panel->system" and click on the device manager
tab. under Graphics adapters (I think) tells you what kind of graphics
card chip etc you have.

Subject: How to auto-insert aic7xxx module?
Date: Sun, 16 Apr 2000 08:43:03 GMT
To revive my old SyQuest SyJet for backups, I installed an Adaptec
PCI SCSI card (AHA-2930U) into my RH 6.2 box. When I booted it up,
kudzu auto-detected the card and inserted the following line into
conf.modules:
alias scsi_hostadapter aic7xxx
When I try to mount it though, I receive the following:
#mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/syjet/
mount: /dev/sda1 is not a valid block device
However, if I manually load the module (with "modprobe aic7xxx") I can
mount it successfully. Is there something I can do to avoid the manual
load? Additional information is available below.
Thanks a bunch!
Cheers,
Jim

Get a new Graphics card :) no but suriously the card has got wierd
problems with XFree86, the above post will help but you will find a damm
slow graphics adapter, first dont use more than 4MB as the memory above
the 4MB mark has got some strange issues (Seen in earlier post but have
forgotten the actual problem) I have installed Xfree86 3.3.6 on a
machine with your card and that worked with minimal configuration. Give
that one a try, and keep the Memory issue in mind. But if you can afford
it I would suggest getting a diffrent card, that assists the Xfree86
orginization with information on their cards like AIT, Nvida, 3Dfx, etc.
check their website.
