Having had MUXes and a 2.4 kernel in the past, we currently use a 2.6.26 kernel on a board with no MUX, but will have multiple MUXes, probably cascaded, on next generation of our project. Currently I'm trying to find out what is 'state of the art' and have problems to connect 'old' (='legacy'?) and 'new' to a specific kernel version. What is the major difference between 'new' and 'legacy' model?
