This question will probably totally reveal me as a novice, but can someone tell me (if it's actually possible) how I can update/patch my 2.6.9 kernel with the latest and greatest libata (to that of 2.6.10, or newer). I'd like to be using the latest that libata has to offer, but can't move to 2.6.10 as I'm dependent on ARM (they currently only support 2.6.9 for the Versatile board).
