Job description
Software Development Engineer will be involved in the entire software product 
(or project) component/module lifecycle including customer requirement analysis 
& clarifications, solution design & description (with the support of Technical 
Lead and Product/Project Manager), development, unit/integration testing, and 
documentation of assigned software components/modules. Support and Maintenance 
of assigned components/modules is an integral part of the job.

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Design, develop and integrate software product (or project) modules 
that meet quality objectives, engineering methodologies and guidelines set by 
TELENITY.
·         Participate in requirements analysis phase and contribute to the 
solution design, high level, and as well as detailed product specification 
documents when required.
·         Recommend enhancements, improvements, and innovations to the existing 
products and services.
·         Conduct unit, integration, performance and, if required, system 
testing in a timely and cost-effective manner.
·         Establish technical documentation by writing design and test 
documents as well as drafting initial versions of product manuals for the 
corresponding parts.
·         Perform and support field installation/system integration of the 
products as well as acceptance tests, if required.

Required Skills

·         BSc degree from the Engineering Departments of reputable universities 
(preferably Computer Science or Electrical and Electronics Engineering).
·         Open-minded, willing to learn, with strong work ethics, 
self-motivation and ownership.
·         Good team player w/ solid collaboration and multi-tasking skills.
·         3+ years of professional and hands-on development experience in Core 
Java (OOP, Multi-Threading, i18n, collections, etc.) and J2EE.
·         Professional and hands-on experience with Linux and/or Unix systems.
·         Experience in using source code management tools such as GIT and/or 
CVS.
·         Experience in using software build and automation tools such as Ant 
and/or Maven.
·         Good understanding of computer and communication protocols such as 
TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, and FTP.
·         Good understanding of SOA concepts and WebServices (SOAP, RESTful, 
JSON, XML).
·         Experience in Relational Databases (Oracle, MySQL), DB programming 
(SQL, JDBC) and ORM persistence frameworks (Hibernate, JPA, DataNucleus).
·         Experience in Java WEB development concepts is a plus (HTML, 
Servlets, JSPs, Server-Side and Client-Side JavaScript MVC Frameworks).
·         Experience in more of the listed Java tools/libraries is a plus: 
Jetty, JUnit, Guice, Groovy, and ActiveMQ.
·         Must have good verbal and written communications skills both in 
Turkish and English.

·         Expert Customer Care and Support Engineer is responsible for 
providing support for customer for the installed and live Telenity products and 
keeping the customer satisfaction at a very high level within assigned region. 
He follows competitor capabilities and moves in customer and potential customer 
networks.

·         Duties and Responsibilities
·         ·         Monitors installed Telenity products.
·         ·         Works on repetitive procedures to be documented and kept 
updated.
·         ·         Alarms Telenity Support for problems encountered in the 
live systems.
·         ·         Provides detailed analysis of the encountered problems to 
Telenity Support for the immediate resolution.
·         ·         Takes the immediate actions to avoid down-time of the 
mission critical systems.
·         ·         Applies required configuration changes.
·         ·         Supports and plans patch applications and release upgrades; 
assures post application monitoring to be in place.
·         ·         Supports requirements analysis and clarification process 
for customer enhancement requests.
·         ·         Works closely with project management teams and provides 
them necessarily data about the customer site such as current customer service 
statistics for capacity planning.
·         ·         Capable of writing bash scripts for the needs in the 
customer or local environment for monitoring the services, system usages.
·         ·         Works closely with R&D department for the customer cases to 
provide R&D with the necessarily data such as dumps, logs, event data records, 
traces.
·         ·         Works also as deployment team member to be responsible for 
the deployment process from the beginning till the project finalization. The 
works include initial tests , customer acceptance tests, production launch, 
monitoring and babysitting of the deployed products . Preparing and conducting 
trainings to the customer for the deployed products.
·         ·         Assures customer satisfaction across the regions on focus 
product family such as SDP, Messaging, VAS services, Signaling 
products/solutions , Call Completion etc.
·         ·         Reports to CCS manager.

·         Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
·         ·         BSc degree in Computer Science or Electrical and 
Electronics Engineering. MS/MA or PhD. degree is a plus.
·         ·         5-7 years work experience as a Support or SI Engineer.
·         ·         Must have a working knowledge of Linux or UNIX as OS, MySQL 
and/or Oracle as DB, and Apache Tomcat as AS and general tracing.
·         ·         Know-How and working experience in any of the below fields 
and tools is a      plus:
·         ·   Remote Access (VPN, Remote Desktop), Load Balancer & Switch 
(Cisco), Network Configuration (VIP, VLAN Setup, Port Mapping, Security), RAID, 
TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, WINS, SMTP, Test (SoapUI, Jmeter), Monitoring (Nagios), 
Ethereal, Wireshark, Tcpdump, Script Languages (Bash, Perl), Cron Jobs.
·         ·   Knowledge about the flow related with Messaging (SMS, MMS,Bulk 
Messaging products), Location (GMLC, GIS, Cell-Id), RBT,Signaling products ( HP 
OCMP, HP USPM , Dialogic ), Virtual VMware environment, VoiceMail, Smart Alert, 
PayForMe, Ethereal trace and Post-paid/Prepaid Billing experience is a plus.
·         ·         Must have good verbal and written communication skills in 
both Turkish and English. Russian and Arabic are a plus.
·         ·         Willing to travel for short-medium terms within EMEA region 
(1 week to 6 months).
·         ·         Business acumen in customer satisfaction assurance.
·         ·         Specific expertise in a product family (SDP, Messaging, 
Call Comp., etc.)
·         ·         No Military obligation (preferable) for male candidates.
