I seem to have played around with the wrong things while in root, i tried to upgrade gcc and i think that that's what started the chain of affects that ended with Redhat not being able to boot with an error of INIT: unable to load /etc/rc.d ... is there anything i can do except reformatting and rinstalling? (Fairly new system, but i'd rather save it.) Benji
