I like Matrox g200 (or the g400 now) when Linux is concerned. The Matrox
support in the SVGA X server is very good, and with a 8MB agp card you can
go to 1280x1024/32bit color. (you can also do 1600x1200 and so on, but not
at 32bit).

The driver is fast, stable, and the card is good all in all. It might not
be the ultimate gaming video card, but it's very good otherwise.
