I believe there are not any shorts, but I have no way to tell it for sure.
CAT-5 ? I remember seeing category-5 in the Ethernet HOW-TO, but I do not know 
what exactly does it mean. Since my cable is a cheap one, I guess it is not 
CAT-5.
A scanner ? What kind of equipment is it ? Surly not the radio amateur 
equipment used for scanning the spectrum.
