Look through httpd.conf. There are parameters like max children count and
max connects per child. By adjusting these, you can tune your server

Yes you can, check the same file. You add httpd to services, then you
define it in the http.conf file, then you restart them both, then you're ready

Difficult to say. I always preferred to run it standalone - it's better
not to overload the inetd...
