Andy Tannenbaum had written a book called "Modern Operating Systems", which
describes scheduling and niceing a little. 

Maurice Bach had written an excellent book called "Architecture of UNIX
OS", where he describes scheduling of UNIX in more detail. 

I really do not think that Haifa university will demand more than that (I
know what I am speaking 'bout, and not just speculating)
