Sorry to make a constructive suggestion for once, I know its really out of
character, but here goes:
Next week the team of engineers responsible for bidi support in Java2
(JDK1.2 - Kestrel and JDK1.3 - Merlin) will be in Israel. The team
includes B.C. Beck, the chief bidi programmer and Francis Tsang, Java QA
manager, besides Bae-Chul Kim and Min-Chi Tien who are responsible for
Java Internationalization QA. BTW, we recently completed testing of the
eighth Linux build of JDK1.3 for Sun and I can tell you that the bidi
support in both Hebrew and Arabic is as good as the Windows and Solaris
versions.
Is the list interested in arranging a meeting with the Sun bidi team?
