What about the nice'ol 99cent "Evaluation" CD/ISO?

I frankly have no problem having my company pay either 35$ or 70$ for a
full-scale Operating System like this. I've paid this much for 6.4

I would however like to use the 7.0 for non-commercial uses, such as I do
with 6.4 that I bought at linuxmall.com for 99 cents. Are SuSE giving a
downloadable 7.0 image?

I sent the SuSE US sales people a note about the price hike, and the
(apparent) unavailability
of the subscription/upgrade package outside Europe. Basically, they are
going to charge $69
for a 6 x CD upgrade to 6.4, which they call "the Professional Edition" as
distinct from
the new cheaper $39 3 x CD dummy edition. They are starting to play Redhat
games, which I
for one, find unacceptable.

Maybe it's time to start looking around again, at ...???
