Hi. VNC is an excellent tool. Probably the best cross-platform client there is, especially with its neat features that include (but are not limited to) free source, Windows/Linux/UNIX interoperability, lightweight, and other cool stuff. However, it's very important to note that VNC is very insecure when used across an untrusted network (i.e. the Internet). See the following articles for more information about the possible problems with using VNC over an insecure network, and the last article for info on securing VNC: http://www.securiteam.com/tools/Brute_forcing_VNC_passwords.html http://www.securiteam.com/securitynews/VNC_3_3_2_R6_uses_a_weak_password_pro tection_mechanism.html http://www.securiteam.com/unixfocus/Securing_VNC_for_the_Internet_environmen t.html (NOTE: URLs are probably wrapped) - Aviram ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
