I hereby announce the availability of an improved version of Dov
Grobgeld's FriBidi package. The improvements consist of:
1. Bug fixes (including a patch from Owen Taylor from RedHat Corp.).
2. Port to the GEOS operating system (the operating system of the Nokia
9110 Communicator).
The package can be downloaded from the URL:

During the last few months, my attempts to contact Dov Grobgeld were
not successful. So, for the time being, this is a fork. I hope that Dov
will agree to incorporate my changes in future versions of his package.
The package was compiled for, and tested in the following environments:
Linux: RedHat 6.1
gcc version - ecgs-2.91.66
glib version - glib-1.2.so.0.0.5
GEOS: Nokia 9110 Communicator.
