Hi All, No announcment yet - but KDE 2.1 beta 2 is out and it's on ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/unstable/ Currently, RPM's are available for Mandrake 7.2 and for Caldera 2.4. Redhat 7.0 RPM's will be out soon as well as RPM's for Redhat 6.2 (and thats includes Redhat Alpha and Sparc) which I'm compiling right now (and fixing a small bug with cookies support) together with bero from Redhat Germany - those RPM's will probably be out by monday, along with the official announcment. DEB pacakages are available already (I think for Woody and SID, but I'm not a debian user, so I don't know - shame on me). I'll try to set-up an Israeli mirror for the RPM's - anyone who is in charge of Linux IL servers can give me user/pass to upload them? For those who do not know what has been changed from KDE 2.0.1 to KDE 2.1 beta 2 - a lot has been improved and added - can be found here: http://www.kde.org/announcements/changelog2_0to2_1.html - one more thing - lots of javascripts error were fixed also. For the Israeli user - well, not much has been changed. Some hebrew web pages look better (example which I checked right now - bananot.com, layla.co.il). I'm working to solve the problem with Visa CAL web site to let the users get their info from their site (seems like an SSL problem), as well as the problems with reverse numbers in Logical hebrew (Lars promised to fixed it before KDE 2.1 final). There are some fixes to print hebrew pages (logical and visual) in the qt-copy on the KDE CVS, but I haven't tested them (well, it's 04:14AM right now, both my machines are compiling and I'm using some crappy machine which comes with windows and it's not mine to write this email - so I cannot set up a printer right now) and KDE wasn't compiled for them. People who want - can grab the latest qt from the qt-copy dir in the KDE CVS and try it.. This is STILL work in progress.. Well, I'll leave the machine to make the RPM's (and nadge bero about kde-1-compat next week).
