Hello Efraim,
Does /dev/lp0 in your computer have the right major and minor device
numbers?
What are the permissions of /dev/lp0?
Do you have also a /dev/lp? If yes, can you try it to see if it works?
And finally...what is your kernel version, how many parallel ports do you
have and what are their addresses+IRQs?
P.S.: you are getting polite and hopefully helpful response from me,
because you did search the Web first and asked the Linux-IL mailing list
only when the Web failed you.
