Got this "scoop" 2 weeks ago on slashdot submissions. It was rejected since
we only annouce release version (or first beta)

No resources. I have now the ISO images of Mandrake 8.1 but I need a new hard
drive to install this, and since I'm looking for a job, hard disk buy is way
low in my priorities. Other slashdot authors are using Debian (one of them is
using Mandrake)

The mirrors are having it for 2 days already - we're waiting for the official
announcment.

Do you think slashdot got the money for a full news service? no. What we do
however is checking the news, rumors, asking for comments (try to get a quick
respond from Intel or MS and see what I mean) for stories, maintaining the
backslash and slashdot, as well slashcode...
