Hi all, Recently I have done some work on a new library called Farsi, it's just some wrappers around fribidi now, but is growing.
Currently it sits between your terminal and applicaton, and simulates a bidi terminal, the output is really interesting. Some points: -Just works with utf-8, but easily you can edit the iconv calls, to change the character set. -It contains a persian (arabic) .psf font with 512 glyphs for console, and a persian keyboard driver for console, you should replace it with hebrew ones, send GPL ones to me to include too. -I use it with lynx, it's a great success, just set your display's character set to utf-8 in lynx. -You need fribidi installed on your machine, get the CVS version (or the buggy 0.9.0 release) from http://www.sf.net/projects/fribidi -Have a look at too scripts 'farsi' and 'lookup' to get the idea. -Is it useful for you in any way? Feedback please.
